Purpose of the Position
To ensure accurate communication and execution of event needs as directed by shift supervisor; enforce fire code and public assembly safety; function as point of contact to event staff, clients, and patrons for problem solving and decision-making in real-time.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Oversee Event staff during the shift and provide direct supervision in the absence of an Event Supervisor. Lead event team to accomplish shift goals.
Professional Qualifications
Associate of Arts or Science degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one-year of related experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current Red Cross/CPR
Bi-annual Sexual Harassment Prevention training

Purpose of the Position

Key Results
- Uphold conditional readiness of facility from a lens of life safety and positive patron experience
- Anticipate and respond in a timely manner to meet patron and customer needs and expectations
- Maintain focus on results and desired outcomes for events and assignments despite distraction and interruptions
- Contribute to staff development efforts by providing training, guidance, and direction
Responsibilities
- Oversee the floor in the absence of shift supervisor to direct staff
- Work closely with shift supervisor to train, develop, and motivate event staff
- Support client’s event requirements; communicate logistical and equipment needs to the event staff
- Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment before, during, and after events to determine condition and readiness for occupancy
- Secure non-utilized areas of the building at the Center
- Create and maintain accurate documentation such as Visio diagrams and Venue Cube for event reporting and communicating with supervisor and manager
- Notify maintenance department for any building or equipment issues requiring repair in a timely fashion
- Responsible for the condition of the facility during their shift – including cleanliness, lighting, and safety hazards
- Responsible for the proper sign-out and sign-in of equipment including set-up, break down, and transport
- Ensure proper event set-up and break-down, oversee janitorial duties and limited technical needs before, during, and after events
- Ensure all equipment is properly operated, transported, and stored
- Pull product(s), report usage, document what items are pulled, consumed, and returned to inventory
- Maintain accurate documentation of usage sheets

- Knowledge of building code, fire code, public assembly requirements
- Ability to assess risk to facility and patron
- Working knowledge of internal HVAC system
- Assess venue or room for event readiness – ability to identify temperature issues, missing details/conditions including cleanliness, signage, anything out of place, and safety hazards
- Preferred experience in public assembly, security, hospitality
- Preferred knowledge of theatre management and technical fundamentals in lighting and sound
